Summer Code Camp
August 13 @ 15:00 - August 31 @ 18:00
We’re pumping up your summer with a coding camp!
The most sought-after skills when it comes to employability are more often than not related to tech and communication. With this in mind, we built a 3 weeks peer learning summer camp that will help you acquire or perfect these skills.
The Summer Code Camp is a 3 week-project for those interested in dipping their toes into the coding waters while learning how to showcase their skills to potential employers.
This is aimed at helping young adults activate their skills through hands-on web development, video CV creation and editing workshops.
The Summer Code Camp will take place from 13th to 31st August, 3 hours per day from 15:00 to 18:00.
The first two weeks will focus on coding classes where you will learn the basics of HTML, HTML5 and CSS using the content available on https://www.freecodecamp.org/
During the last week, you will learn WordPress after which you will start working on your own web page.
Once you got into the technicalities you will learn how to create a video CV and how to brand yourself.
At the end of the 3 weeks, you will create your own website and get new tech skills which can make you more appealing to employers.
If you are unemployed, feeling like your skills are underutilized or that you need to acquire new skills that can complement existing ones, this is for you!
