Used for building maps by companies such as WeWork, Adobe and even Facebook, Mapbox is an open source mapping platform that’s changing the way we experience mapping, navigation, and location searching – and this year, they’ve decided to work together with The Shortcut to teach you the tricks of the trade. Over three weeks, Mapbox trainers will guide you through the basics of their tools and help you dive in to designing and building web maps that are not only informative, but visually pleasing. WHEN AND WHERE?
· March 24th 5pm-7pm at The Shortcut Lab: Lapinlahdenkatu 15B: in an introductory session, Mapbox trainers will brief you about project options to work on over the three weeks.
· March 31st and April 7th 5pm-7pm at The Shortcut Lab: you will meet up at The Shortcut lab to continue working on your project – trainers either will be there to help you out in person or available on the designated Discord server.
· April 14th 5pm-7pm at Mapbox offices, Mikonkatu 19B: in this final session, we will wrap up the series with presentations and feedback for completed projects.
